How do I obtain a quote?
Please contact us using the form on this site or call us on 01525 406 416. On receipt of an enquiry we will provide a written quote which is valid for 30 days. If you decide to go ahead we will arrange to book your job in at a mutually convenient time and provide a contract. As a rule new jobs can generally be booked in within two weeks of a quote being accepted.
What does the quote include?
Prices quoted cover initial research and designs, two sets of revisions (unless otherwise stated) and provision of finished artwork in the required format. Further revisions will be subject to an additional charge at the same hourly rate. Printing costs are not included. Printing can be arranged by Greensand Design but costs will be in addition to the design fees quoted. Payment is due direct to the printer and must be arranged by the client - we are not able to make payments on a client's behalf.
How long will my job take to complete?
An estimated timescale will be provided when the job commences - as a rough guide, a logo design can be completed in around two weeks, a simple leaflet or flyer in under a week and a bigger job such as a catalogue in around four to six weeks. We make every effort to complete work in the agreed time frame and the client's part in this is to provide any necessary material as soon as possible when it is requested. Prompt responses when feedback is asked for also help keep a job on track.
Can you turn something around really quickly for me?
Wherever possible we will try and accommodate a client's needs. If a job is completed at very short notice an additional 25% fee may be requested.
What are your payment terms?
Most jobs are invoiced on completion or when artwork has been sent to print. Payment is due within 14 days of invoice date by cash, cheque, Paypal (plus fees) or bank transfer. For jobs over £500 or for new clients a 25% deposit may be requested in advance.
Can I cancel an agreement?
Cancellation of any job after a contract has been signed is subject to a fee in proportion to the amount of work already carried out or up to 25% of the agreed amount if work has not yet begun.
Who owns the rights to the work produced?
Full and exclusive rights to all work produced are assigned to the client on receipt of full payment. However we reserve the right to use examples of any work produced for advertising and promotional purposes unless the client requests otherwise. Work which remains the property of Greensand Design may not be copied, reproduced, used or altered in any way without prior permission.
Can I be sure you will keep any information I provide confidential?
We guarantee to keep all information provided by clients confidential and are happy to sign an agreement to this effect.
Will I see a proof of my job?
A PDF proof will be provided to the client by Greensand Design before artwork is sent to print. These can also be provided as hard copies if requested. Printer's proofs will generally be provided direct to the client whose responsibility it is to request, check and approve these. All proofs provided to the client must be thoroughly checked as no responsibility for errors can be accepted by Greensand Design once proofs have been approved or if a proof has not been requested. Errors found before or at proof stage will be corrected by Greensand Design at no additional cost to the client. Other amendments will be subject to the standard charge.
How involved will I be with the design process?
If a client has specific ideas for a job we are very happy to hear them - no-one knows your company and your requirements better than you. We ask most clients to complete a simple Q&A form at the beginning of a job to get an idea of the look and feel you are hoping for and your target market. If however you are unsure of what you want, we are always pleased to offer guidance. |
